The basics

The first thing I need to know to start effectively doing physics is to learn the math needed, I know it's horrible for some people to learn math, I have to say I'm good at that, but what level of good am I? I choose a really complete book, this one Mathematical Methods for Physics and Engineering: A Comprehensive Guide, I have seen a lot of books, but I choose this one over the others, probably I'll have to take other courses during the period, also this book is really advanced for beginners, but in the other hand covers so many useful data for the quantum part of it! Well, it's a huge book and will take so long to finish, don't know if it's going to have posts regullarly in this blog as I thought, only if I post the evolution of the book. Thanks

Every journey has it starting point!

Once and again physics is backed up by math, it's common sense that many observations in any field of science came first as theoretical study. The advances made through history in the mathematical physics' field has brought into insight the amazing world of nature in its deepest forms. Since I was a kid I've been intrigued with how stuff works, from the movements of the heavenly bodies to the microscopic world of atoms, chemistry once was my desired graduation, but things doesn't always go as we want and I ended up doing Electrical Engeneering. It was then, during the course, 'cause I've been through a lot of physics, that I found the true nature of my questions, and how the same question has made many people dedicate their lives for a purpose, a purpose that transcends even the usually religious theories of creation and human life.

Well, my name is Glauco, I'm from Brazil, and just decided to dedicate a lot of my time to study, and study by myself, if I had to make a goal it sure should be string theory, even knowing it's a branch of physics so theoretical that can't be observed, the sum of all the knowledge to get there would make me understand and got answers for many question I've made in my life.

Maybe I'll tell you more about me in this blog, but I don't mean to, I mean to show how is it going to me to learn theoretical physics, all the way up to string theory.

Well I actually have been through a lot of physics during my graduation, the basis of calculus also come from there, but with a bunch of effort from my self studying practice.

So this first post means I've started the blog, and it's enough now, I'll start the "works" soon, so see you!
